In September 2023, I travelled to Japan with a group of friends. As an anime fan and someone who cares about how they dress, I was excited to visit and find anime merch that I could wear out at a bar.

After searching in Tokyo and Osaka, I hadn’t bought any clothes because everything I found was just too… loud. I was dismayed until my friend mentioned ‘Why don’t you make something yourself?” and thus Shonen Chic was born.
